The Role
The role of the Lead Auditor. Auditor is to work as a leader of the audit team to ensure audit objectives are accomplished and applicable requirements of management system within audit scope and criteria are assessed. This role also requires effective communication with Client prior to the audit assignments, to verify the audit scope, audit criteria, audit plan, impartiality of audit team members and feasibility of conducting the audit as planned. As a Lead Auditor, you would be working as an interface between the Client and G-Certi.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair the audit meetings and share the audit findings.
- Perform the Pre-Assessment, Stage1 and Stage 2 Audits (i.e. Certification, Re-Certification, Follow-Up and Surveillance Audits).
- Identify, summarize and report non-conformities and opportunities for improvement.
- Report any major nonconformity and unsafe working condition observed during the audit to Client’s Representative without any delay.
- Draft, review and distribute audit report and respond to corrective actions submitted by the Client.
- Review the status of corrective actions to close the nonconformities.
- Recommend the Client for certification on successful conformance against audited criteria.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and other interested parties.
- Evaluate the performance of audit team members and auditors in training.
Authority
- Cancel the audit in circumstances like unsafe working conditions, lack of cooperation from Client to get required evidences for the audit in progress, lack of provision of the protective equipment committed by the client to perform the audit and any other unreasonable circumstances including extreme weather conditions etc.
- Change the audit team assignments as required to achieve the audit objectives.
- Change the audit scheduleas required during audit without compromising on audit objectives.
Education
- Degree or diploma in engineering, quality management or related discipline.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate recognized by the Exemplar Global or IRCA.
Experience
- 3rd party auditing experience with an accredited Certification Body or ISO Registrar.
- The experience of auditing management systems other than ISO 9001 shall be an added advantage.
- Remote auditing experience shall be an added advantage.
- Experience of auditing organizations in different manufacturing and services discipline.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of ISO 19011 Guidelines forAuditing Management Systems and requirements of ISO 9001.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
- Ability to use remote auditing tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype and Web Ex etc.
- Ability to travel across Canada to client sites as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels from shop floor to boardroom.
- Demonstrated documentation, follow-up, communication, organizing, interpersonal, presentation, time management, conflict management and team management skills.
